Kane Manor Inn – Kane, Pennsylvania:
Kane Manor Inn is a historic Bed & Breakfast located in Kane, PA, right in the heart of the Allegheny National Forest in McKean County. Built in 1896 by Civil War General Thomas Kane and his wife Dr. Elizabeth Kane (one of the first women in Pennsylvania to attend medical school), the building carries a rich history and a charm you don’t find often anymore.
Today, the Inn is a popular venue for weddings, receptions, and private events, but it’s also the perfect place for a romantic weekend getaway. There are 15 guest rooms, each with high‑speed internet and TV, and breakfast is served in the morning. Additional guest suites are available across the street for anyone needing extra space.
We visited in 2007, and the building’s uniqueness really stood out — the architecture, the atmosphere, and the historic details made it unforgettable. Please note: the photos on this page were taken in 2007, so the Inn may look different now.
And of course… there’s also a local legend that the Kane Manor Inn is haunted, adding a little extra mystery to an already fascinating place.
