November 2, 2003: Chestnut Ridge area: While hiking in the Chestnut Ridge area, members of the PBS & PRO found very large human shaped footprints in the mud. Two different size tracks were found and cast. The next day, another track was found in the same area.
August 30, 2003: Greensburg: At the same location as on the August 15th report, a large 5-toed print had been found in the yard. A large creature had gone through their garden pulling up Zucchini plants and tearing out tomato plants. Screams were heard that turned into baby cries and then back to screams.
August 15, 2003: Greensburg: A large footprint was found on a sidewalk. You could also make out that something large had walked through the grass and strange sounds had been heard coming from the woods at night.
August 2003: Derry Township: Two unusually large footprints were found in a garden area. At the same location, a witness was a large hair covered animal standing against a tree facing her.
April 13, 2003: Derry Township: Three witnesses observed a very tall brown creature with swinging arms cross through a corn field.
March 2003: Greensburg: Outside of Greensburg in a wooded area, a loud noise, like a woman creaming was heard as well as a baby crying. A large bedding area was found. It was 32 feet long and 12 feet wide. This would seem quite large if it were a deer lay.
January 11, 2003: Chestnut Ridge: It had recently snowed, and members of the PBS and PRO found large footprints in the snow. Two sets of different sizes were there. These tracks went for about 2 1/2 miles side by side.
September 2002: Chestnut Ridge area: A witness was riding his bicycle and observed a large hair covered creature walking through the woods. Two weeks later a woman driving her car heard noises in the same area. Expecting to see deer cross the road, she slowed down. But instead of deer she saw a very tall hair covered creature standing on two legs, walked parallel to her car. It then stepped over a 48″ high fence without breaking its stride.
1996: 3 miles south of West Newton: A man was walking his dog when he first noticed an odor and then he observed a 7 to 8 foot tall creature standing in front of him on the trail. It had dark brown hair with short hair on its forehead. The creatures face had large round brown eyes, and a long nose that was not very wide. It’s lips were not thick but very thin and the lip line ran to the sides of its face, not on the front of its face like a human. It had a rounded chin and no neck. Submitted by the PBS.
1995: Ligonier Township: November 20: 8am: On the first day of bear season, a witness found a trail of 5 toed footprints that measured 19 inches in length.
October 2, 1994 (Sunday): between Monroeville & Somerset on the PA turnpike: It was near sunset, but still light outside. The two females (from Canton Ohio) were at a picnic table along the turnpike when they heard something big and heavy coming down a steep, wooded hillside toward them. They saw only one creature, dark brown in color. The creature was walking on two legs, standing between 8 to 9 feet tall and came within 20 feet of the witnesses. They observed the creature for about 1 to 2 minutes. The creature stopped at the bottom of the hill and while partially concealing its face with its hands, turned and stared at the witnesses. It had an ape-like face, but no sagittal crest. Its expression was frightening and mean looking. It had large, piercing eyes, a flat nose, a large mouth showing some teeth, large hands with 5 fingers and male genitalia. No odors were noticed and they didn’t look for footprints. 1991: March 23: Derry Township: A footprint was found, 13″ x 6″ with five toes. A total of about 40 tracks were found in a swamp area.
1991: February 3, Saturday: near Darlington: It was early am when high pitched screams were heard. When the witness looked outside, he saw a five foot tall hairy bi-ped with glowing red eyes. The screams scared the horses and they ran to the other side of the pasture. Note: unusual screams were heard off and on at this location thru out the summer, but at no other time was a creature sighted. The investigator checked out the area for about 2 hours but found no evidence. Submitted by: Paul Johnson
1989: March: Ligonier Township: 3 miles east of Laughlintown: (same location at the July 1988 sighting): Strange odors were noticed in the area off and on over a period of about a week. It smelled as if something was decaying.
1988 :September: Derry: At approximately 8:30am, a witness was driving past a house and saw something, hairy and around 8 foot tall, standing by a tree.
July 1988: Ligonier Township: 3 miles east of Laughlintown: For several weeks during the summer of 1988, a witness heard eerie, shrill screaming sounds coming from the hill above his home. These high pitched vocalizations came mostly in the afternoons. On one afternoon the witness was walking his dog an observed a creature crouched in the weeds. It stood hunkered down and walked away. All the witness observed was the creatures large, dark eyes.
1988: May 17: Unity Township: Loyalhanna Creek: Around 11:30pm, the witness was beginning to night fish and he heard shrill whistling, grunting, and monkey like chattering in the nearby woods. The witness turned away from the noise and then he felt something touch his back and elbow. When he turned around the creature was standing right there. It stood 6 1/2 to 7 foot tall. It appeared to have reddish brown hair. Its face was deeply wrinkled and leather like. The eyes were orange with a glow to them and were the size of golf balls. The sighting ended when the witness, after being touched, jumped in his car and drove away.
1988: May 10: Ligonier Township: near Rector: It was a cool, overcast morning when the witness was walking a dog and noticed what appeared to be a very hairy man by a grapevine. But when the witness blew his dog whistle, he realized it was not a man. The creature then turned and walked away. This was when the witness noticed the creature was completely covered with dark brown hair with a blond patch on its chest. It stood about 7 foot tall and weighed between 400 and 600 pounds. It moved away very quietly and quickly.
September 1984: Avonmore: A man building a home on Rte. 819 heard strange high-pitched screams coming from the woods. He was unable to see what was making the screams. But other witnesses in the area reported a UFO sighting that same night. Submitted by Paul Johnson/Stan Gordon.
July 6, 1984: Bell Township: After heavy fog rolled into an area around 1:30 AM, witnesses heard and tape recorded what sounded like “monkey chatter”. Submitted by Paul Johnson/Stan Gordon.

March 23, 1984: Bell Township: A man driving along Rubright Road observed a 4 foot tall, hairy biped at a distance of 400 yards. This creature had black hair, no neck, a small head, and was very bulky. Submitted by Paul Johnson/Stan Gordon.

1983: Chestnut Ridge Road: Kingstown: A witness was burning garbage in her back yard when see noticed a hairy creature standing at a distance. It had a very tall head.
1983: West Newton: Two boys were on their way home when they heard some sticks and branches breaking. When they looked in the direction of the noise they saw a white left arm sticking out of the thicket. The boys then turned and ran.
December 18, 1982: Bell Township: A witness, along with a PCUFOR Field Investigator heard and tape-recorded the vocalization of a strange creature previously encountered in that same area. Submitted by Paul Johnson/Stan Gordon.
November 1982: Bell Township: Two witnesses heard heavy breathing and growling sounds. With a flashlight they observed reddish-orange eyes of a creature. Submitted by Paul Johnson/Stan Gordon.
October 28, 1982: Bell Township: A witness heard growling sounds from a creature. He saw something with red eyes at a distance in the bushes. The witness then shot at the creature three times with a rifle, but with no apparent effect. Submitted by Paul Johnson/Stan Gordon.
October 6, 1982, Bell Township: A woman doing her laundry in the basement of her home, observed a creature with fiery red eyes looking through her basement window. 1982: Bell Township: A woman and her young son were walking in the woods when they observed a tall, hairy creature, slumped over in a thicket. They immediately vacated the area. Submitted by Paul Johnson/Stan Gordon.
October 31, 1981: Lancer Park near Vandergrift: A woman driving her car observed a 7 to 8 foot tall hairy creature in her headlights walking across the neighbors lawn and down a steep hillside. The creature had brownish black hair over its entire body. It had a small neck and moved in well coordinated strides. August 12, 1981: Bell Township: A male witness was walking in the woods in the afternoon when he felt like something was watching him. Fifty feet ahead of him he briefly observed a large bipedal creature crossing a gas line road. This creature was a least 12 foot tall with brown hair covering most of its body. August 1981: Bell Township: A young boy was biking on Rte. 819 when he looked to his left and saw the back of a tall hairy biped. This creature was at a distance of 50 yards and walked from a pasture into a wooded area. Submitted by Paul Johnson/Stan Gordon.

April 18, 1981: Bell Township: A witness observed a 4 foot tall, brown hairy creature that he estimated weighed 1500(?) lbs. This creature emitted an odor like spoiled meat and made an eerie, growling, hissing sound. While observing the creature in his flashlight beam, he shot at it with an 8MM rifle. 1980: September 22, 1980: Trafford: Two boys were walking along a path an observed a tall, hairy figure move slowly towards them. The creature appeared to float or glide, rather than walk. The face was human like with a body covered with shiny black hair. Submitted by: Paul Johnson/Stan Gordon.
July 1980: Guffey: Witnesses first saw a strange, blue light hovering in a field and then saw a tall, hairy creature walking nearby. The creature moved quickly and made deep breathing noises.

near West Newton: 1975 or 1974: A witness was watching television when he heard a noise on the back porch. When the witness went to the doorway to see out the back door, he saw a big hairy thing standing on two legs looking through the screen door at him. The witness ran back to the living room and grabbed a loaded 22 caliber hand gun. He then fired through the screen door at the creature and the creature ran off screaming. A neighbor heard the shots and then the scream. At that time he turned on all the lights in the house and outside but could see nothing. The next day they went to the area to see if they could see anything. No clear footprints were found but you could see that something big had ran through the grass. The creature had also ran through a barbed wire fence that had the strength to keep a 1500 pound bull from running through it.
November 24, 1973: Latrobe: Four boys jacklighting on dirt bikes saw a tall creature standing upright between two telephone poles. The boys turned their flashlights on and the figure dashed into the woods. The creature had very bright, reddish-pink eyes and ran faster than a man could. Its arms were unbelievably long. August 24, 1973: Herminie: A man mowing his lawn in a trailer court looked toward a garden 30 feet away and saw an ape-like creature.
